What is a story? Stories or narratives usually have a meaning or purpose. The reader has to work out what that meaning is. Look at the list that you have made. What are the meanings of those stories to you?
Most stories have a hero character but these can be real, imaginary, human, animal or an object.
You follow them on an adventure with ups and downs until there is a resolution.
We are going to focus on the general structure of stories.
